Born and raised in South Rustico, Prince Edward Island, Steve is the youngest of 4 kids. Steve grew up listening to country music and classic rock.Teaching himself to play guitar at the age of 18 , inspired Steve to write his own songs. Winning many singing contests and playin with a band led Steve to further his career by moving out west to Alberta in 1999.
Since moving to Red Deer, Alberta Steve has accomplished a lot. In 2001 Steve won “ The Q91 Search For The Stars” talent search where he got the chance to go to Nashville to record an original song with Canada’s own the late Gary Buck. From there Steve auditioned for Nashville Star 2004. With Edmonton being the only Canadian stop for auditions, Steve was picked along with another auditioned from Edmonton. Steve made it to the regional finals in Austin, Texas. This accomplishment inspired Steve to keep on chasing his dream.
Since then Steve has opened for such artists like Duane Steele, Johnny Reid, Trooper, Nazareth, Julian Austin, Billy Klippert and 54-40. Recently Steve has recently recorded his first 4 song ep album with producer and band mate Graham Sharkey!
